Faculty Development Workshop Purpose and Focus
  1. To become familiar with lesson plan templates
  2. To explore a wide range of teaching-learning principles and strategies that help maximize student learning during every lesson
  3. To help develop habits of effective lesson planning
Overview

Lesson planning is a complex skill.  Research indicates that student learning is directly related to teacher planning and preparation. A well crafted lesson plan provides a clear road map for highly effective teaching and learning. Participants will explore the goals, purposes, and core components of a highly effective lesson plan, in order to improve the teaching-learning process.
